With national election in India underway, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan came up with a music video on Monday (April 22), urging Indians to vote. The music video has caught attention of not only SRK's fans but has also has earned Prime Minister Narendra Modi's praise.

PM Modi tweeted Shah Rukh Khan: 'Fantastic effort, Shah Rukh Khan! I am sure the people of India, especially first time voters will pay heed to your appeal and come out to vote in large numbers'. To this, the 53-year-old actor tweeted: 'PM sir Narendra Modi had asked to show some creativity. I am a little late in making the video. You don't get late for voting. Voting is not only our right, it is our power. Please use it'.
Shah Rukh Khan's video comes in response to Modi's appeal to actors, industrialists, spiritual gurus, sports persons and famous personalities, urging them to encourage their followers to cast their votes. PM Modi had tweeted before the national elections began: 'Urging Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar to creatively ensure high voter awareness and participation in the coming elections. Because...it's all about loving your democracy (and strengthening it)'.
SRK can be seen rapping in the music video for which he collaborated with music composer Tanishk Bagchi and lyricist Abby Viral. The video begins with the actor proudly showcasing his inked finger, reported NDTV.
