Indian politician, Shashi Tharoor, is known for his play of words and rolling out on Twitter word gems that leaves baffled Twitterati flipping English dictionaries.
The parliamentarian's Twitter posts are often laden with difficult and lesser-known English words that easily send social media users into a tizzy. The literary genius however, made a spelling error while tweeting about a ceremony he attended in the UAE and Twitter was quick to take a dig, according to reports in India Today.
Tharoor tweeted pictures of him delivering a speech in the UAE and wrote: 'My address to the UAE alumni of MES College of Engineering on Innivation in India'. Within seconds, Twitter noticed the misspelling or rather typo in the word 'innovation' which Tharoor wrote as 'innovation' and several users joked if it was new vocabulary.
One Twitter user wrote: 'Innivation is the new innovation. From today, we shall call "Innovation from India" as "Innivation". We shall strive to bring abt INNIVATION. Let's stand apart'. While another wrote: 'When tharoor sir tweets anything it becomes a word. He is Rajnikant of English Vocabulary!'
However, realizing the gaffe, Tharoor in his witty style made the rectification and wrote: 'Yes alas : That should have been "Innovation" or better still, "Indovation"!'
