Famous Indian chef and television personality Sanjeev Kapoor has some sumptuous recipes to his name and has ample followers online. However, he was trolled on Twitter for his one recipe that did not go down well with people in the south Indian state of Kerala.
The chef happened to offend many when he shared his recipe for Malabar Paneer and people were quick to remind him that such a dish does not exist. Sanjeev Kapoor's dish made using paneer (Indian cottage cheese) and coconut milk drew flak on Twitter as many pointed out that the actual dish is called 'Malabar chicken'.

One Twitter user wrote: 'Adding Malabar prefix to a dish does not make it a Malabar dish. I dare you to find a Malabar dish that use paneer'. While another person slammed him and wrote: 'We don't eat Paneer in Kerala. Never heard of it, never seen it. Did you get this recipe from whatsapp university?'
Malabar cuisine from Kerala is famous all over India and features a range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. However, paneer (cottage cheese) does not feature prominently in the cuisine.
