There are times when all of us need some time off from our jobs. Whether it is for going on a holiday, addressing some important health issues or simply taking some time off from workplace stress, a long vacation is always welcome.
However a cop named Som Singh, hailing from the Mahoba district in the state of Uttar Pradesh (India) has reportedly asked for leave for a very strange reason. According to an ANI report, the cop who holds the position of a police constable requested for a month long leave (30 days) for the purpose of 'expanding his family'.
Not only was his leave granted but he was also given 15 extra days off starting June 23.
In another similarly absurd instance the employees in a Norwegian pet supply company are getting paid leave to bond with the new pets.
"The first few days a puppy is in a new home are vital to getting used to its new owner and environment, Musti Group CEO David Rönnberg said, according to the UPI news.
