The Cochin International Airport will resume operation from Sunday noon (IST), as per latest information available from an official in Abu Dhabi.
"As per latest update from CIAL, the airport will resume operations by 12.30pm (IST) on Sunday," an Air India Express official said.
"Our first arrival into Kochi will be IX 442 from Muscat. It is expected to land at Kochi airport by 4.30pm," the official said.
According to the official, a detailed inspection was conducted at the airfield at 2pm on Saturday and the airport director found the conditions to be satisfactory.
"Earlier it was supposed to start operations from 3pm on Sunday but now advanced to 12.30 pm," the official added.
On Friday, Kochi airport had stopped operations till Sunday. Up to 32 flights, to and from, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah to Kochi were affected due to heavy rain in Kerala.
