India bans Pakistani TV channels in Kashmir

The authorities have asked all the cable operators to immediately stop airing of these 24 channels.

Indian authorities have banned 24 Pakistani channels in the border district, Bandipora in the wake of the situation arising out of Pulwama incident.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in an order issued by Bandipora district magistrate, the authorities have asked all the cable operators to immediately stop airing of these 24 channels.
"It has been reported that cable operators within the jurisdiction of Bandipora district are telecasting and transmitting various programmes which create law and order problems," the order read.
The order said, "To prevent the cable operators of the district from broadcasting these TV channels it is necessary to invoke necessary provisions of law."
The channels include Peace TV Urdu, Peace TV English, ARY QTV, Madni Channel, Noor TV, Hadi TV, Paigham, Hidayat, Saudi Al-Sunnah Al-Nabawiyah, Saudi Al-Quran Al-Karim, Sehar, Message TV, Hum TV, ARY Digital Asia, Hum Sitaray, ARY Zindagi, PTV Sports, TV One, ARY Masala, ARY Zoug, A TV, Karbala TV, GEO News, Abb Takk News, Waseb TV, 92 News, Duniya News, Samma News, Geo Tez, Express News, ARY News and Ahli-bait TV.
