Free air ticket offer is fraud, warns airline

Chances are you must have received this fake message multiple times last week.

A message claiming that Jet Airways is giving away two free air tickets to celebrate its 25 years was widely shared on WhatsApp over the last week.
If you are part of Indian WhatsApp groups, chances are you must have received these multiple times.
Now, in a statement on Twitter, the airlines warned customers against the fake link. "This is not an official contest/giveaway and we advise caution. Genuine contests and giveaways are hosted only on our verified social media accounts, indicated with a blue tick. 
The message that went viral on social media asked users to forward the message with 20 more users on WhatsApp.  
This isn't the first time that fake messages giving away free tickets have been circulating on WhatsApp and users need to verify before sharing or indulging in them.
