A 37-year-old Indian doctor has been arrested for torching about 25 high-end cars.
The incident has been reported in Karnataka.
The accused, Dr Ameet Gaikwad, is an assistant professor of pathology at the Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences (BIMS).
According to the police, a CCTV footage shows him wearing a helmet and entering different buildings. The reason behind his actions is still unknown. Of the total number of cars burnt by him, 13 belonged to the doctors who are not known to have any connection with him.
The cars burnt include two BMWs, a Honda City, a Verna,Toyota Innovas besides others.
"He would wear a face mask along with a helmet and drive around the city finding luxury cars parked outside the houses and set them on fire using a long stick wrapped in kerosene- soaked material. He placed the burning cloth below the wiper on the bonnet and fled when the car caught fire,"  Seema Latkar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Belagavi told Deccan Chronicle 
Petrol/diesel cans, cloth balls, spirit, five cellphones, a lighter, a pair of scissors, two knives, a hammer and engine oil have been seized from his possession during the investigation.
 He has been charged with arson.
