A woman gave birth in a car as she was stuck in heavy traffic while on her way to hospital at Shamli district in Muzaffarnagar, police said on Thursday.
The woman and the new born were admitted to a district health centre later, police said.
The incident occurred when Sima, wife of Avinash, was on her way to a hospital, they said.
