A woman passenger fell unconscious and passed away on board forcing a Qantas flight to be diverted to Adelaide Friday morning, according to media reports.
The Sydney-bound flight from London via Singapore had to make a landing at Adelaide Airport at about 3:50am and set off again at 6:00am.
The New South Wales woman fainted and later died in the flight.
"Our crew did everything they could, including helping perform CPR with a doctor who was on board, but unfortunately the passenger has passed away," a Qantas spokesman was quoted as saying. "Our thoughts are with the passenger's family."
No passengers left the flight while it was in Adelaide, the reports said.
The death was not being treated as suspicious, the police pointed out.
