In a horrifying case, a Croatian woman's body had been kept hidden in her sister's freezer in the family's home for 18 years.
Police in Croatia's Zagreb discovered the body of Jasmina Dominic, stashed inside the freezer for almost two decades after she went missing in 2000, as reported by Independent.co.uk.
Dominic, then 23, was only reported missing by her family in 2005.
Police officers investigating the mysterious disappearance of the woman and found her decomposed body inside a freezer in the hallway of the family home in Pavlovec village, northeast of the capital Zagreb, on Saturday.
Officers have arrested Dominic's sister, 45-year-old Smiljana Srnec, and sent the body for a post-mortem.
It is believed Dominic was murdered and the family had been deluding detectives for over a decade.
"They turned us in other directions. I've never had a case like this.
"We checked the house [at the time]... but didn't have information anything could have happened at home," a police spokesperson said.
