The marathon cruising experience is set to begin from London in August 2019 and set to earn the title of the longest-ever continuous cruise. The Viking Ultimate World Cruise known as the Sun will take roughly 1,000 passengers aboard the nine-deck 745-foot luxury vessel, travel website Thrillist reported.
Certainly, a classy cruise for almost a year will not come cheap. And, be prepared to shell out exorbitant amount to get a ticket to the luxury cruise which start at $92,990 (Dh341,500 approx) per person. But, the ticket cost includes excursions, meals, and other amenities, business class international airfare, transfers to and from the ship, gratuities/service fees, and free WiFi!

Lookout for luxury aboard
There's room for everyone, and that too quite airy! Even the entry-level staterooms are relatively large and have their own private verandas overlooking the water. There are two pools, including one glass-backed infinity pool right at the stern, a special Scandinavian spa, a library, theatre, lounges, outdoor terraces, and bars. There are also eight different dining options -- all included with no additional charges, with several fancy restaurants.
Which places the Sun will dock?
Heading west through the British Isles and the Arctic Circle to Canada and down the East Coast of the United States before heading to the Caribbean. From there, the cruise will depart to the eastern coast and southern tip of South America then halt in Los Angeles at about the halfway point. From LA the Viking Cruise ship will sail to various ports in the South Pacific, followed by New Zealand and Australia, and a coastal tour of South East Asia before heading to India and eventually Egypt.

The exciting highlights aboard include overnight stays in 22 cities like Rio de Janeiro and Mumbai, and the chance to explore places like Antigua, Bora Bora, and Ushuaia, Argentina, a city perched on a steep hill at the tip of South America that's commonly referred to as the 'End of the World'. Besides, guests also get a complimentary shore excursion in each port.
Viking Cruise has split the eight-month long journey into two sections (London to Los Angeles and Los Angeles to London) making it convenient time is a constraint for those who cannot do round-the-world-journey or who do not want to pay the full price tag, the report added.
