An inebriated man on a domestic flight in Russia created mid-air ruckus and reportedly tried to storm the cockpit, following which co-passengers taped him to his seat.
The passenger was aboard an S7 Airlines flight, from Mineralnye Vody to Novosibirsk in Russia when he became aggressive with the flight attendants. The man demanded to speak to the plane's captain and tried to enter the cockpit.
Other passengers restrained the unruly man and tied him to an empty seat in business class with sticky tape, Mirror.co.uk quoted Kurer-Sreda reports. A video footage filmed by a passenger shows the man swearing and hurling abuse during the four-hour flight on Tuesday.
The man was heavily intoxicated before boarding the flight and was arrested for violating public order upon landing. He was locked up in a cell pending investigation.
A spokesperson for the Interior Ministry said, "Officers brought the man to the police station but he continued his wild behaviour. He verbally abused the duty policemen and tried to attack them." A criminal probe has been launched against the man who faces up to five years in jail.
