Man charged after hiding camera in bathroom on flight

A first-class passenger aboard a US flight was arrested for allegedly installing a camera in the lavatory. The Malaysian man, identified as Choon Ping Lee, was charged with video voyeurism 'within the special maritime and territorial jurisdiction' of the United States.
Lee was caught after a female passenger discovered the camera on United Airlines flight 646 from San Diego to Houston. According to reports in Daily Mail, when the female passenger went to use the lavatory, she spotted an something emitting a blue light. She took the device to the flight crew who handed it over to officials at George Bush International Airport.
Airport security later discovered that the device was a video recorder which had footage showing a man installing it in the bathroom on the same flight. The FBI identified the accused, a native of Malaysia who works for Halliburton, from his clothing and jewelry.
KTRK reported that the FBI also uncovered deleted files on the device and found that two more women were caught on camera after the device was installed in another airplane bathroom. The man's company - Halliburton provided a picture of Lee who was wearing a watch and bracelet that matched the jewelry seen on footage from the the flight on May 5.
Lee could face up to a year in prison, a fine, or both if he is convicted.
