The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said that Emirati citizens holding diplomatic, VIP and regular passports can obtain a visa on arrival from the Cooperative Republic of Guyana.
Ahmed Alham Al Dhaheri, Assistant Undersecretary for Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, said that the UAE Embassy in Brazil received a diplomatic note from the Embassy of the Republic of Guyana, in Brazil which included the government's decision to grant UAE nationals visas upon arrival in Guyana.
The Republic of Guyana's initiative reflects the UAE's international stature. It emphasises the development of bilateral relations between the two countries and opens new horizons for the country's citizens for tourism, investment and trade.
Thus, it helps strengthen the bonds of partnership and relations between the two friendly countries.
It is noteworthy that the Republic of Guyana is along the north-eastern coast of South America overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, bordered by the Republic of Venezuela to the west, Suriname to the east, Brazil to the south, and located in the tropical range.
