The British man behind the viral sheep meme caught the attention of Tesla CEO Elon Musk who offered him a role to manage the Electric Vehicle company's social media.
Adam Koszary, the programme manager at The Museum of English Rural Life (MERL), run by the University of Reading, initiated a witty Twitter banter between him and Musk, last April. The museum's Twitter account @TheMerl posted an old archived picture of a large sheep with unusual horns and captioned it: 'Look at this absolute unit', to mark the International Unicorn Day.

The viral meme was noticed by Musk who not only changed his Twitter profile picture to that of the sheep but also changed his bio to read "Absolute Unit". The MERL amassed a total of 133,000 followers, including Musk, who only follows 83 other Twitter accounts. In the social media "absolute unit" stands for anything over-sized and the picture of the large sheep went viral online overnight.
A year after the viral tweet, Koszary revealed he will join Tesla. According to The Guardian reports on Tuesday Koszary will join Tesla in July, quoted Gadgets.ndtv.com. His tweet about Tesla job read: 'So I have more news: I'm no longer moving to the Royal Academy. Instead, I'll be Tesla's Social Media Manager from July.'
Responding to Koszary's tweet Royal Academy wrote: 'Sob! We're obviously very sad that the lovely and talented Adam now won't be joining us, but know he'll do a great job at Tesla'. Koszary was to join The Royal Academy as the social media editor.
