VARUN DHAWAN OF Student of the Year fame is headed to Dubai. The actor will be in town on March 28-29 for the grand finale of the ongoing Fair and Handsome Oil Control Super Model Hunt at The Address, Dubai Mall. He will also be promoting his next release Main Tera Hero opposite Ileana D’Cruz and Nargis Fakhri during his visit to the emirate.
Talking to City Times ahead of his visit, Varun said, “I am very excited to come to the UAE. Dubai is a place I have visited throughout my childhood and even now, every now and then we keep popping in and out of the UAE. I was in fact in Abu Dhabi recently for someone’s wedding and I made sure to visit Dubai as well during that trip. I honestly love Dubai because there is so much of Indian culture there and so many similarities. It is like a home away from home. But this will be a special visit because I will be promoting my second movie Main Tera Hero in Dubai.”
Son of veteran director David Dhawan, who is helming this comedy, Varun has a lot at stake with his second release, considering his two co-stars from his debut movie Student of the Year, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra have already proved their mettle with Highway and Hasee Toh Phasee respectively.
Varun Dhawan is currently shooting for Karan Johar’s Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya with Alia Bhatt. (arti@khaleejtimes.com)
