Iconic British pop band Spandau Ballet are returning to the region for a long-awaited show at the Dubai World Trade Centre on September 17.
The band formed in London in the late 70s and were an important part of the New Romantic scene, firmly establishing themselves as one of the UK’s biggest super groups. Hits like Gold made them world-wide stars until the band underwent an acrimonious split and parted ways for over two decades. Their last gig in town sold out the 20,000 capacity Sevens Stadium.
Reunited in 2009, the band started recording fresh material again, including three tracks on their greatest hits collection, THE STORY, recorded in conjunction with legendary producer Trevor Horn. The band also released their much praised film documentary, Soulboys of the Western World, reintroducing the world to the talented five piece band that includes current members Tony Hadley, Gary Kemp, Steve Norman, John Keeble and Martin Kemp.
Tickets start at Dhs300, available from www. platinumlist.net.
