Get writing in the New Year

If you're hungry to flex those writing and creative muscles, the Dubai International Writers' Centre has two workshops coming up. The Children's Creative Campus is back by popular demand. The three-week workshop aims to help your children discover the art of story-telling through reading, writing, art and drama.
Instructors include Rachel Hamilton, author of bestselling children's books, The Case of the Exploding Loo and The Case of the Exploding Brains; Lara Matossian, international mime artist and co-founder of Café Scientifique; and Claudia Manetti, art specialist with extensive experience working with children, who runs the programme 'Art Attack' at Emirates International School. The workshop costs Dhs600 and is held for two days, January 9 and January 23, 2016, from 10am-1pm.
There will also be an Advanced Blogging Workshop which will cover aspects such as: how to purchase your domain name, how to best host your blog, how to expand your themes designs (free or paid themes), how to install new plugins and expanding your readership and blog management.
Instructor Iman Ben Chaibah comes from an IT Management background and started Sail eMagazine five years ago which she then expanded into a publishing house for digital books and magazines. The Advanced Blogging Workshop costs Dhs200 and will be held on January 16, 2016 from 10.30am-2.30pm.
