Lebanese singer and style icon Najwa Karam joins World of Fashion
The cat’s finally out of the bag: Lebanese singer Najwa Karam will be the guest of honour at the upcoming World of Fashion showcase.
Adding her star power to the fashion event being held at Mall of the Emirates from October 15 - 31, Karam is an appropriate choice as one of the biggest trend setters in Middle East entertainment. The 48-year-old vocal powerhouse and style icon will be on hand on October 22 to meet fans.
The mall’s Central Galleria will set the stage for the hottest looks of the season as fashion brands launch their Fall/Winter collections in a total of 20 catwalk shows. A bevy of high-street fashion brands including Kate Spade, Juicy Couture, Karen Millen, Elie Tahari, Tiffany & Co., BCBG and Halston Heritage will pave the way for Mall of the Emirates’ biggest fashion campaign of the year. A dedicated children’s show will also feature fashion brands like Roberto Cavalli Junior, Miss Blumarine and Katakeet.
Beauty and creativity will come together when celebrated makeup artist Bassam Fattouh stages demos and makeovers, all complimentary to mall guests during the two-week festivities. Visitors can also take in the ‘Journey of a Dress’ travelling exhibition that celebrates the 40th anniversary of the iconic wrap dress and signature prints, created in 1974 by American fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg.
