Trained by Samir Hawa and brilliantly ridden by Safwan Al Reffai, RS Sanjar did very well to beat favourite Das Enbehar by a quarter of a length to win this race which attracted a field of 12 runners, a press release said.

AF Mursid, trained by Gillian Duffield finished third in the 11-furlong contest which was run on the turf course at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club.

Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Communications Director of ADACH, said, “The win by RS Sanjar is indeed special for us as it is a horse which has been bred here in the UAE and has defeated horses bred outside the UAE. This is precisely what ADACH and the HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Flat Racing series wants to promote- UAE bred horses and UAE owners of Purebred Arabian horses.”

Abdullah Bin Brook of Bonyan International Investment Group, Talal Al Hashmi of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Mussalem Al Amri, Racing manager of Shaikh Mansoor’s horses and Lara Sawaya, Racing Director of HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Flat Racing series along with Abdullah Al Qubaisi distributed the trophies and awards to the winning connections. “Every race being held under Shaikh Mansoor’s series for Private owners has been a big hit here,” said Sawaya.
