The UAE team includes Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Shaikh Majid bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Shaikh Rashid bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum, Ahmad Mohammad Ahmad Belqazi and Ali Khalfan Al Jahouri.

The 160-km route comprises six loops between 20km and 38km, five of which take riders on different routes around the Suffolk countryside covering heathland, forest tracks, river meadows and open farmland.

Shaikh Mohammed attended the grand opening of the Longines FEI World Endurance Championships 2012 on Thursday where Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum carried the UAE flag at the parades of the participating countries.

Shaikh Mohammed heads a strong UAE defence of the world team title, bidding for a third successive win, following victories in Malaysia in 2009 and Kentucky, US, in 2010. The competition features participants from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Algeria and Lebanon. Alongside title sponsor Longines, two Dubai industry giants, Meydan and Emaar Properties, are additional supporters of the championships.
