A statement from the Dubai Racing Club said on Friday: “The horse has been examined by the Emirates Racing Authority vets and another examination will take place tomorrow morning in regard to the horse’s fitness to race.”

There was no immediate indication about the nature of the problem. Vision d’Etat is trained in France by Eric Libaud with Olivier Peslier set to ride the horse whose big race triumphs include the 2008 French Derby and the Hong Kong Cup in December.

English raider Twice Over is the 9-2 second favourite in London betting after his third place in the last year’s Breeders’ Cup Classic to Zenyatta where U.S. trained Gio Ponti (5-1) finished second.
