Ajman Stud, owned by Shaikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman; and Saudi Prince Khaled bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz alongside Dubai Arabian Horse Stud shared the top honours of the 11th renewal of the $4m Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship at the Dubai World Trade Centre on Saturday.
The final was attended by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and Shaikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance; who also crowned the winners. Shaikh Ammar and top officials, distinguished guests and horses connections and a big crowd of spectators were also in attendance.

In the Mares category, Emandoria won the top prize for the UAE, Ajman Stud, stable companion Badawieh came second and behind them finished Najdah Al Zobair for Qatar, Shaikh Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Thani.
D Shahla earned the Dubai Arabian Horse Stud the first position in the Junior Female category as stables companion FA El Rasheem came out the best in the Junior Male competition.
The Yearling Colt championship was won by Loay Alkhalediah Althani for Prince Khaled and AJ Sawari claimed the Yearling Filly title for Ajman Stud.
The Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship is a competition for Purebred Arabian horses, showcasing their beauty, agility & heritage. It is run over three days culminating in the Championship classes for the most exquisite horses.
Held under the patronage of Shaikh Hamdan, the Championship was run for the 11th time. It was held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from the March 20-22.
The Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship is the most prestigious competition of its kind in the world. It is a beauty competition for Purebred Arabian horses, from the very young to the elderly statesmen of the Arabian equine world.
The 2013 Event was a huge success with 371 horses entered from 25 countries and competing for prizes valued at $4,000,000.
The 2010 Championship was promoted to ECAHO ‘Title Show’ status; only 5 Shows in the world hold this prestigious award and bought high class competition from 24 countries and 5 continents.
The Championship once again will be enhanced in 2015 with the staging of the Dubai International Horse Fair, which will open alongside the Championship. The Horse Fair is the largest equestrian exhibition in the region and caters to everyone in the equestrian world from trade to consumers. Both these events are open to the public free of charge.
