In UAE, cineplexes report the hype is such that the movie is setting records for pre-opening ticket sales.
Ashleigh Potts, Marketing Manager - VOX Cinemas said, "The response for Star Wars at VOX Cinemas has been phenomenal. We opened advance tickets on October 25, and we have had a huge response with most of the first shows of the film being completely sold out. Ticket sales for Star Wars in 4DX, IMAX with Laser and THEATRE by Rhodes have been extremely popular which goes to show that customers are keen to experience the unique ways of watching this eagerly anticipated blockbuster- all of which are exclusive to VOX in the region."
Vox cinemas is further bolstering the frenzy with Star wars goodies. "Customers who purchase Star Wars tickets in advance will receive a movie poster," Potts added.
"Interestingly, Star Wars has also reported the highest number of advanced bookings in the history of Reel Cinemas. Although this does also correlate to a growing trend of people who prefer to book movies in advance."
