Seven years after they first collaborated on No Country for Old Men, Josh Brolin has signed on to reteam with the Coen brothers once again on Hail, Caesar, which Universal Pictures has acquired for worldwide distribution, the studio announced on Monday.

Oscar winner George Clooney is set to star in Hail, Caesar, which Joel and Ethan Coen will direct from their own original screenplay.

Hail, Caesar is a comedic period picture set in the 1950s that follows Eddie Mannix, a Hollywood fixer who works for the studios to protect their movie stars (and their squeaky-clean reputations) from gossip rags and jealous rivals eager to expose salacious scandals.

Brolin recently signed on to voice the villainous role of Thanos in the Marvel cinematic universe, as well as co-star in Denis Villenueve’s Sicario. He most recently worked with the Coens on True Grit.

Meanwhile Clooney will reportedly marry his fiancee Amal Alamuddin in a romantic ceremony in Venice, Italy. The couple have been scouting venues in Italy for their big day and a new report suggests they have picked the floating city for their nuptials, reports contactmusic.com.

The couple is hoping to book a historic palace for the wedding, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six. “George and Amal want to be married in Italy, but they need a location that offers them and their guests privacy,” said a source. The wedding is reportedly set for September.
