Municipality of Abu Dhabi City celebrates Eid Al Adha with sick children

The Community Services Division, Municipality of Abu Dhabi City, celebrated Eid Al Adha with children bed ridden at Khalifa Medical City in the context of the Community Ambassadors initiative.

The festivity, which is held in collaboration with Shaikh Khalifa Medical City, Abu Dhabi Police’s Emergency and Public Safety Department, Police College, and Security Inspection Department, aims to share with sick children the joy of Eid Al Adha.

A host of recreational activities were held to entertain them such as Puppet Theater, juggling & clown performance, cartoons, face painting, nail & hair styling, henna, cubes, and police workshop.

Events also included spots about sniffer dogs, magician show, educational police, and Shambeh in addition to several quizzes & games that together brought pleasure to children on this blessed occasion.

Participants in the event also presented gifts, cake and sweet to children and released more than 200 balloons in a picturesque scene reflecting the attention of organizers to bring happiness and joy in the hearts of these children.

Shaikh Khalifa Medical City made a variety of spots such as face-painting, henna and drawing studio, while Abu Dhabi Police’s Emergency and Public Safety Department, Police College, and Security Inspection Department presented different interesting spots that were praised by children in attendance.

The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City stated that such a visit is part of humanitarian and communal initiatives taken in concurrence with the spiritual inspiration radiating from Eid Al Adha, and illustrates the commitment of the Municipality to consolidate the sound social community values built on communication, compassion and launch initiatives capable of enhancing all forms of social solidarity.

Organizers of the event visited bed ridden children in different wards of Shaikh Khalifa Hospital, presented them with gifts, and inquired about their health wishing them early recovery, God willing.

The initiative is part of the overall objectives of the Municipality and other social initiatives aimed at showcasing the role of the Community Services Division at the Municipality in lending moral support to all community segments, and showing sympathy with the sick to raise their morale. Through this initiative, and visits paid to patients, the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City seeks to set up a diversified community-oriented service delivery platform run in partnership with a myriad of public & private entities.

The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City commended the active role played by its strategic partners in making this humanitarian & social event a success, and particularly lauded Shaikh Khalifa Medical City, Abu Dhabi Police Emergency and Public Safety Department, Police College, and Security Inspection Department.
