The semi-hospital like ambulance is equipped with medical apparatus to handle cardiac diseases, coma, diabetes and serious cases. The vehicle ensures faster reporting at the site of the incident, he said.

Al Hafidhi said the main objective of the new ambulance is to give medication at the place of the incident, and to help the patient before the health condition deteriorates.

“The corporation had chalked out a plan, foremost among which is keeping the addresses and contact numbers of both the patients and their families, and be present in places close to the incidents, and report and move in short time,” he said.

The plan also includes providing basic medication to the patient on the spot and giving first aid, when necessary. The hospital will be given a report on the patient’s condition and the medicines given, as well as the preliminary diagnosis before moving them.

“The Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services pursues the policy of using the latest and most advanced techniques in the world to save the life of each and every member in the society,” he said.
