The Programme named “Wiqayah” (Prevention) was launched by Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union and Supreme Chairperson of the Family Development Foundation.

During the campaign, which comes within the framework of the ‘Red Dress Campaign for early detection of cardiovascular diseases’, hundreds of Emirati women will be given specialist tests and necessary treatment.

The campaign started from Abu Dhabi emirate and moved to Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain and Ajman before it reached Dubai. A number of specialist doctors in cardiovascular diseases will render their services in the campaign. The campaign, which was organised by the Zayed Giving Initiative with strategic partnership with the General Women’s Union and Women’s Association in Dubai, has been supervised by the Emirates World Humanitarian Mobile Hospital under the umbrella of the UAE Ministry of Health.
