Canadian brand of cookies withdrawn from UAE markets

DUBAI - The Ministry of Environment & Water has announced withdrawal of food products manufactured by the Canada -based TWI Food, as they contain almonds and milk which are not declared on the label.

The withdrawn products include coconut cookies, pistachio cookies and almond cookies.

The Ministry circulated the withdrawal advisory to all points of contact concerned with food safety in the UAE immediately after receiving a notification of withdrawal from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).

The ministry said it was following steps to withdraw all the 400-gram packs of the products, totaling 235, from the markets.
