65-yr-old expat succumbs to Mers virus in Abu Dhabi
The ministry confirmed that its epidemic investigation centres in emirates are working 24 hours to receive any earlier reports of Coronavirus cases.
Abu Dhabi - A 65 year-old expat died after contracting Mers-Coronavirus (Mers-CoV), the Health Authority - Abu Dhabi (Haad), the regulatory body of the health care sector in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, announced on Thursday.
It also confirmed a second case with the virus. The patient who in stable condition will leave the hospital soon.
Haad in coordination with Ministry of Health and other medical authorities nationwide, has taken all necessary measures as per the recommendations from the World Health Organisation.
