The UAE's first Ambassador to Israel has been sworn-in.

Mohammed Mahmoud Al Khajah was sworn in before His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Sunday.

Israel opened an embassy in the UAE last month.


The UAE also approved establishing an embassy in Tel Aviv in Israel.

These developments come months after the Jewish state and the Gulf country normalised ties.
