The United Arab Emirates has announced $25 million as urgent humanitarian aid to support the Palestinian people, who are exposed to the latest brutal aggression by Israel on the Gaza Strip.
The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) will supervise the distribution of the aid, given under the directives of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and General Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and follow-up of Shaikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region and Chairman of the ERC.
The ERC will also establish an integrated field hospital in Gaza Strip to provide medical aid to the victims of the Israeli aggression, which has killed and injured a large number of innocent people.
The assistance confirms the ongoing historical solidarity and support of the UAE leadership, government and people with the Palestinian people.
The UAE strongly condemned Israel’s continuous aggressive practices on the occupied Palestinian territories.
“The UAE condemns the latest air strikes launched by Israeli occupation forces on the Gaza Strip, in which many Palestinians were martyred and wounded,” said a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The UAE renews its complete rejection of all acts of violence which kill innocent civilians and demands an immediate end to the policy of collective revenge and punishment.”
