UAE’s most-awarded nursery chain pioneers quality education and child development across 30 convenient locations in the UK and UAE
The Eida has set a deadline of May 31 to register for their ID cards in Dubai with fines to be imposed for those applying after that date. Jasim Al Raeesi, Director of Al Barsha Eida centre, said: “After the deadline, residents of Dubai will be fined Dh20 daily until they complete their registration.
“The authority has published articles on this issue in various magazines and newspapers across the country, and conducted several awareness campaigns to reach out to all residents of Dubai.”
According to the Eida statistics, 1.55 million applications for new ID cards were received in the past four months compared to around 820,000 transactions during the same period last year.
More than 558,000 applications for renewal were received compared to around 71,000 applications for the same period last year. The authority pointed out that the increase in the number of transactions reflected the response to such campaigns.
The Emirates Identity Authority clarified that the registration deadlines specified for Sharjah ended on February 1, and for Abu Dhabi on April 1.
Children under 15 years of age, both UAE nationals and expatriates, should register before October 1.
