If you come across any damages on federal roads, report about it by calling the toll-free number 80088889, the Ministry of Infrastructure development has urged the public.
Eng Mira bin Hindi, deputy director of federal roads department at the ministry, said they have launched a number of initiatives to ensure road users' safety.
"The ministry keeps an eye on all the federal roads - over 700km - across the country, and carries out maintenance and development works on a regular basis."
The ministry's joint initiatives with various bodies, mainly the Ministry of Interior, has led to a significant drop in traffic accident casualties and damages on federal roads nationwide, he revealed.

"All road users are urged to use the ministry's smart app (MOID) or visit our website (www.moid.gov.ae) to assess the damages of traffic accidents on federal roads."
The UAE has been ranked first globally in the 'quality of roads' indicator, according to the Global Competitiveness Report issued by the World Economic Forum.
"The win came as a result of the sophisticated infrastructure projects in the country aimed at achieving the UAE 2021 vision, which are in line with the international standards," she pointed out.
