Shaikh Abdullah meets Serbian Prime Minister, Minister of Defence

Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Foreign Minister, today met in the Serbian capital, Belgrade, the Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic.

During the meeting, Shaikh Abdullah conveyed the regards of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to the Serbian Prime Minister. In turn, the Serbian Prime Minister asked Shaikh Abdullah to convey his regards to Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid and General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed.

The UAE Foreign Minister commended the ties between the UAE and Serbia, thanks to the support of the leaders in both countries for the development of the relations in all fields.

For his part, the Serbian Prime Minister welcomed Shaikh Abdullah. They discussed the ties of cooperation and friendship between the UAE and Serbia, and ways to strengthen them to serve the interest of both countries and peoples.

The two sides noted that the relations between the UAE and Serbia are growing in a number of sectors in light of the interest of the leaders in both countries to develop joint work towards wider horizons of bilateral cooperation.

The UAE Foreign Minister also met the Serbian Defence Minister Nebojsa Rodic. During the meeting, they reviewed areas of the bilateral cooperation and ways to strengthen them in the best interest of the two countries.

The meeting was attended by Abdul Aziz Nasser Al Shamsi, UAE’s non-resident ambassador to Serbia.
