Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, made phone calls to Germany’s Foreign Minister, Frank-Walter Steinmeier; France’s Foreign Minister, Laurent Fabius; and Britain’s Foreign Secretary, Philip Hammond, to discuss the deteriorating situation in the Palestinian territories and the ongoing aggression on Gaza Strip.
Shaikh Abdullah affirmed the UAE’s support to the efforts Egypt is making for a ceasefire.
Abdullah calls Arab League chief
Shaikh Abdullah held a phone conversation, on Thursday, with Dr Nabil Elaraby, Secretary-General of the Arab League, during which the parties discussed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip.
He also held a phone conversation with Hanifa Aman, Malaysian Foreign Minister, in which he expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims of the downed flight MH17 plane crash in eastern Ukraine.
