Preventive authority constituted for Sharjah

His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued an Emiri decree, establishing the Preventive and Safety Authority in the Emirate of Sharjah.

According to the decree No. 55 of 2014, the Preventive and Safety Authority will be set up in the Emirate of Sharjah, and followed by a law to regulate objectives and functions of the authority.

Meanwhile, Dr Shaikh Sultan has issued an Emiri decree on the transfer and appointment of the Director-General for the Preventive and Safety Authority in the Emirate of Sharjah. According to the decree No. 56 of year 2014, Salem bin Salem Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the Department of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture will be transferred and appointed as Director-General for the Preventive and Safety Authority in the Emirate of Sharjah.

The decree comes into force with effect from the date of the issuance. All competent authorities are requested to implement it with immediate effect. The decree will be published in the official gazette.
