Shaikh Mohammed bin Hamed bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, has issued a decision to organise writing, drawing, engraving and posting pictures and posters on the walls and mountains for the protection of nature and aesthetic appearance.
The decision stipulated the prohibition of writing, drawing, engraving and posting the pictures and posters on the exterior walls and the mountains and gravel, moving or changing in the nature or the establishment of poles. These acts will only be allowed after obtaining a permit from the municipal authorities in the Emirate of Fujairah or the Fujairah Natural Resources Authority.
In its second article, the decision stipulated that the municipality will formulate the conditions, standards and criteria relating to pictures and graphics and the non-abusive writing and determine the duration of the validity of permits issued by official authorities.
According to the decision, anyone found violating provisions of this decision will get a fine of not less than Dh2,000 and not more than Dh20,000 with confiscation of the used instruments. The violator will also bear expenses of removing such writings.
The Decree is effective from the first of January, 2014 and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
