Mohammed bin Zayed discusses defence coordination with Centcom

Dubai - Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed welcomed the commander of the US Central Command and his accompanying delegation and the two sides discussed cooperation and ties of friendship between the UAE and the US.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received General Lloyd Austin III, Commander of the US Central Command (Centcom), at Al Shati Palace on Monday.
Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed welcomed the commander of the US Central Command and his accompanying delegation and the two sides discussed cooperation and ties of friendship between the UAE and the US.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations, especially in the military domain, and ways to enhance cooperation and defence coordination between the two friendly countries. They discussed ways to develop relations in the best interest of both sides.
Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed and Gen Austin exchanged views on the latest developments and current situation in the region as well as a number of issues of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended by Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority (EAA); Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court; Major-General Eisa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces; and Lt.-General Juma Ahmed Al Bawardi Al Falasi, Adviser to Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
