MoH warns about using Mistang Capsules, Loss Weight Coffee

The Ministry of Health (MoH) has warned about using Miztang Slimming Capsules and Loss Weight Coffee that are available in the markets as they contain the banned sibutramine

Dr. Amin Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for Medical Practices and Licensing at the MoH stated that the ministry noticed the dissemination of herbal and loss weight products such as less weight coffee and therefore immediately sent a circular to all the medical districts, directors of public and private hospitals as well as private clinics not to use slimming botanical as it contains chemical substances that are not stated on the external batch. The product is not registered in the pharmaceutical registration and control department in the ministry.

Additionally, the FDA issued a warning about using the mistang loss weight product because it contains sibutramine, which causes hypertension and increases heart beat rates and causes danger for heart diseases patients too.

The pharmaceutical control and registration labs at the MoH tested the loss weight coffee and mistang botanical slimming samples and discovered the availability of sibutramine in one of the coffee samples and capsules.

It is medically known that the substance is carefully used especially in cases of depression, glaucoma, high blood pressure or with patients who suffer from high risk of bleeding or under drug treatments to prevent blood clotting.

The substance may also lead to the intervention of medicines when they are taken together therefore it is not advised to take it with migraine or analgesic tables such as tramadol or vintanil.
