Ministries sign MoU

Shaikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and Lt Gen Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior on Sunday, at the presidential court, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Interior and Finance on the development of civil defence services at the state level in accordance with the financial procedures followed between the two ministries in this regard.

The two sides agreed to develop activities of a new development programme and the inclusion of funds required for budget development of civil defence services annually as well as the formation of a joint committee to follow up the implementation of the provisions of the MoU and other related items.

Shaikh Saif stressed the Interior Ministry’s keenness to strengthen cooperation with various government sectors and with partners, pointing out to the leadership’s directives for better performance of civil defence organisations and their members to contribute to the preservation of public safety in various buildings and installations in accordance with the best standards of developed countries.

The Interior Ministry announced they will implement in the near future intensive inspection campaigns to pursue violators of safety and security conditions in the various facilities at the state level to ensure compliance with laws and conditions.
