The UAE Ambassador to Italy and Dean of the Arab Diplomatic Corps in Rome, Abdul Aziz bin Nasser Al Shamsi conveyed the greetings of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to the Italian President Giorgio Napolitano, on the occasion of Christmas and New Year.
During a reception hosted by the Italian President at the Quirinal Palace in Rome in honour of foreign ambassadors accredited to Italy, Napolitano asked Al Shamsi to convey his greetings to Shaikh Khalifa and Shaikh Mohammed and stressed on the importance of UAE-Italy relations. A number of Italian senior officials attended the reception.
