FNC Speaker meets French official

The parties discussed ways to activate bilateral relations in all domains and bolster the strong existing relations.

Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), has received at the FNC headquarters the President of the Union for a Popular Movement Group in the French National Assembly, Jean-Francois Cope.

The parties discussed ways to activate bilateral relations in all domains and bolster the strong existing relations and partnership between the two sides, in addition to boosting them into wider horizons for the benefit of cooperation and joint interest.

Al Murr discussed the progress which is being witnessed by the UAE in all fields, thanks to the wise leadership, since the establishment of the country in 1971 by the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, by harnessing all capabilities to build and support the pillars of the country, in addition to the vision of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in empowering and boosting Emiratis’ participation in parliamentary elections, witnessed by the country in recent years.

He added that the country has witnessed outstanding development in various fields, thanks to the support given by the prudent leadership and their keenness on working together with the people of the UAE to be among the best of the developed countries.

Al Murr and Cope discussed the latest developments in the regional and international arenas, affirming the two countries’ consensus on stances and visions towards a number of regional and global issues.
