FNC delegation wraps up China’s visit

Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, Speaker of Federal National Council (FNC) has described his recent visit to China as “successful” and welcomed by the Chinese officials.

He referred to his fruitful meetings with Zhang Dejiang, Chairman of the National People’s Congress (NPC) and other parliamentarians in the city of Hangzhou and Guangdong province.

At the conclusion of his one-week long visit to China, FNC Speaker hailed the China’s supportive stance to the UAE in the issue of the three UAE’s occupied Islands (Greater and Lesser Tunbs and Abu Musa) by Iran, citing Beijing’s attitude towards the current developments in the Arab countries, including the deteriorating situations in Syria and Palestine.

He noted that China is one of the most developed Asian countries in the last two decades and has become the second largest economy after the USA, adding that it has strong trade exchange ties with the UAE as proved by current figures.

The Speaker of FNC also stressed the importance of trade exchange between the UAE and China, mutual projects for the benefit of the two countries, as well as boosting of the economic bonds between them, citing that China is the largest trade partner to the UAE.

Al Murr said that UAE exerts efforts at the IPU’s annual meetings and other parliamentary meetings to convey the Federal National Council’s views regarding the political issues in line with the approach of the federal government to get appropriate support in all international, Islamic, Arab and GCC forums.
