Arab leaders reiterated their firm rejection of Iran’s continued occupation of the UAE’s three islands on Wednesday and expressed their support for the UAE’s right to, and sovereignty over, its islands of Greater and Lesser Tunbs and Abu Musa.

In their final communique, The Kuwait Declaration, issued at the end of the 25th two-day Arab Summit in Kuwait City, the leaders also threw their weight behind the UAE’s sovereignty over territorial water and airspace, continental shelf and exclusive economic area of the three islands, all an integral part of the UAE.

They also backed all measures and peaceful means that the UAE takes to restore sovereignty over its occupied islands.
