During the meeting, Shaikh Abdullah conveyed the greetings of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to the Grand Duke, and his wishes for further progress and prosperity to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and its people. He also asserted the importance of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways of boosting them in various fields.
Shaikh Abdullah conveyed greetings of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to Luxembourg Prime Minister, who reciprocated greetings and expressed wishes of further progress and prosperity to the people of the UAE.
Shaikh Abdullah praised the relations between the UAE and Luxembourg, thanks to the support of the leaderships in the two countries.
The meeting touched on bilateral ties and ways to enhance cooperation in the all fields, as well as the opportunities for creating a strategic partnership between the two countries in different domains.
Also discussed were the issues of mutual interest and the current regional and international developments.
The Prime Minister of Luxembourg welcomed Shaikh Abdullah and his accompanying delegation and expressed the hope that their visit will help further ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
The meetings were attended by Suleiman Hamed Salem Al Mazrouei, Head of the UAE Mission to the EU, and UAE Ambassador to Belgium, and other distinguished guests.
