International Symposium on the Effects of Traffic Accidents has issued 11 resolutions on reduction of the traffic accidents.
Organised by the Emirates Traffic Safety Society in cooperation with the International Organisation for Road Accidents Prevention, and the Arab Road Safety Organisation at intercontinental hotel in Abu Dhabi, the event was held under patronage of H. H. Lt. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, and Honorary Chairman of the Emirates Traffic Safety Society.
Themed: “Traffic accidents: Effects and Reflections on Social, Health and Economic Development, “ the symposium called for setting up strategies to reduce the rates of deaths and injuries caused by the traffic accidents.
It also called for adherence to the traffic rules and the traffic awareness through involvement of all the societal categories.
Rt. Brig. Hassan Ahmed Al Hosani, Secretary General of the Emirates Traffic Safety Society, commended at the closing session the support of police command to different activities and programmes that inculcate the concepts of traffic safety in public. He added that the event was successful as it tackled the social, economic and health effects of the traffic accidents.13:15:56
