In order to qualify for the offer, children under 16 must be accompanied by a fee-paying adult or a club member.

The initiative, which will run from August 1 to September 30, forms part of a Ramadan drive aimed at those who’d like to stay active throughout the holy month, with the club also running 18 hole green fees from as little as Dh225.

The ‘kids for free’ offer is designed to encourage more young golfers to take up a sport that’s growing in popularity among a younger generation through role models such as 22-year-old recent US Open Champion Rory McIlroy and 21-year-old rising American star Ricky Fowler.

ARGC general manager, Elliott Gray, said: “We are first and foremost a community golf club and we’d like to open our doors to everyone interested in golf within that community.”
