Matar and Saeed back in UAE national team

DUBAI — The newly appointed senior national team head coach Abdulla Misfer short-listed 25 players to carry the country’s hopes in the remaining matches of the 2014 World Cup Qualifying tournament.

UAE ace Ismail Matar, Al Wahda’s Basheer Saeed, Al Jazira defender Abdulla Mosa and Bani Yas attacker Zeyab Awana will reunite with the squad while Bani Yas midfielder Amer Abdul Rahman will miss out.

The ‘boys in white’ will start their campaign with a training camp in Al Ain City from September 25 to 30 and train at Khalifa bin Zayed Stadium from 7pm every day. On October 1 they will would leave for China where they will face the Chinese national team in a friendly on October 6. They will then head for Seoul on October 7 to line up for their crucial qualifying match against South Korea on October 11.
